I have done this banner in felt before, but I loved the look of these fabrics and I just had to try making a banner using the wonderful, bright colors. I love how it turned out and I think I will make a few more of these for some boutiques I have coming up.Wednesday, April 1, 2009

Our friendly bunny, with a treat all his own.
Here's the whole set-up. This is another in the line of blocks I do. The bunny is handmade by me. I hand cut the letters out of textured cardstock, paint, sand and distress the blocks. The set is for sale. I added a small bit of hot glue on the bottom of the eggs so they will stand up in the different directions. Clever- no? (if you know anyone who might be interested in these blocks, feel free to leave a comment- or leave a comment if you like them- but if you don't like them keep your comment to yourself)Wednesday, January 28, 2009

Creating again |

I went into Robert's the other day and saw some Valentine's day blocks. They were so cute and they made me want to start making things again. So, even though I am severely sleep deprived (see my personal blog for more info) I got online yesterday to do more research on making tote bags. I had seen some at a boutique I had my things in and I wanted to make some myself. I'm not sure if I will make these to sell, I thought I would put them on here and see if there are any comments. Would you buy one? How much would you be willing to pay? $10, $15? This bag is the perfect size to hold a set of scriptures, in fact it will be a baptism gift for my daughter's friend. I thought about making smaller ones for little girls to play dress up with, and larger ones to use to slog all my stuff to church and to replace the hospital diaper bag that I am not loving. Any thoughts?
