Creating again |
Wednesday, January 28, 2009
I went into Robert's the other day and saw some Valentine's day blocks. They were so cute and they made me want to start making things again. So, even though I am severely sleep deprived (see my personal blog for more info) I got online yesterday to do more research on making tote bags. I had seen some at a boutique I had my things in and I wanted to make some myself. I'm not sure if I will make these to sell, I thought I would put them on here and see if there are any comments. Would you buy one? How much would you be willing to pay? $10, $15? This bag is the perfect size to hold a set of scriptures, in fact it will be a baptism gift for my daughter's friend. I thought about making smaller ones for little girls to play dress up with, and larger ones to use to slog all my stuff to church and to replace the hospital diaper bag that I am not loving. Any thoughts?

This is a custom stitching that I made for my friend. She wanted something to replace a picture for the holidays. I have to admit that I was a little worried about doing something of this scale (the whole thing ended up being 2 feet by 3 feet) but I think it turned out really cute. And she loved it, which is the whole point.Thursday, November 20, 2008

trying something different |
Thursday, November 20, 2008

So, as you know I am pretty much bannered out. (is bannered a word? probably not) But I wanted to try something different. My mom had seen a thanksgiving banner with just the letters, so I thought i would try a Christmas one. Short and sweet. What do you think? should I make more this way, put the letters back on the pennants and don't mess with a good thing or bag the whole thing completely?
