Up close look

Monday, October 27, 2008

These are some close up shots of the stitchings that I do. There is a bride on one that says "I love to see the Temple, I'm going there someday" and the missionary is on another that says "I hope they call me on a mission."
I call them my "gentle reminders", somthing you can place in a child's room and they will see it and just subtly in the back of their minds be reminded about these very important goals to strive for. They are in 12X12 frames and can be customized with the paper and hair/eye color of your choice. I also make a princess stitching that says "believe in the magic of your dreams" and I am developing a sports themed one that will say "believe in your dreams." The stitchings are my own design and I love how they turn out.

Fall Festival

So, I havn't posted for a while because I have been frantically trying to make enough product to have for the fall festival hosted at a local charter school this past weekend. As you can see, my booth ended up looking quite festive and I had a lot of positive responses about it.

Some of the most popular items were the banners (Fall in particular) and the Missionary and Temple stitchings. It was a fairly successful weekend and I'm glad it's over!

Gobble Gobble

Tuesday, October 14, 2008

So I finished the Gobble Gobble blocks. What do you think? The blocks turned out darker with the stain than I had originally planned, but I still think they look good. Do you think the turkeys are too big? What about the pumpkin? Is it too small, does it look out of place with the two turkeys up on the blocks? Hmmmm......no wonder creativity is such a complicated process.
