In the Bag, themeday Thursday

Thursday, May 26, 2011
If I had known I would not have a chance to blog again until today, I would have thought twice about putting up my disaster photos on Monday. :)  Oh well, now you know my deep, dark secret.  I am not a great housekeeper.  Oh wait, you probably already figured that out long ago.  haha.  Anyway, with the birthday bash and the craziness that May turned into, this is only the second theme-day Thursday I've done for the month.  But I do want to say how much I appreciated all the feedback and enthusiasm with the last post.  So, I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to solicit opinions again in this post.  Consider yourselves my focus group. :)  This bag got a lot of praise in the last post.  As well it should.  The background is a light tan and the design is classic and timeless.
In keeping with the classic look, I went with a black flower.  To keep it simple and refined.

But, I'm wondering if I should change it out?  A red flower, or perhaps a pink one, might jazz it up and take it from beautiful to stunning?  If you were to purchase this tote, would you like your choice of flower color, or just what I put on it?  (the flowers already come on pins so they can be removed.)
Thanks in advance for all your advice.  I am really getting excited about launching my shop.  I just need to get some pictures done and the listing process will commence.  I will keep you posted.
What's that?  You want to know what the inside of this tote looks like?  Okay!
And just a couple more bits of business.  Don't forget to enter the Giveaway here.  And get your pillow posts dusted off and ready for the big POV reveal and link party Tomorrow!
See you then!
xoxo,
Amy

I LOVE that bag and the material!!! And your disaster photos look a little too familiar...especially this time of year. I would love the option of choosing a flower color to add your own personal pop of color!

I like the black flower. I think the jumbo size is excellent.

I'm a bright color kind of gal, though, so I tend to not buy black bags {especially this time of year}. It might be fun to try one with a colored flower {and use the same color on the bottom of the bag}.

I think I'd like to have a bright color - just to show I'm not to serious or classy ;o) I think it is a good idea to offer a choice of flower - or sell it with two or three flowers so that the owner could changed it out from time to time. That would be fun...I'd totally go for that choice.

I like the black flower, but I think you may be on to something with offering a choice of color. And along Kristi's thinking... what if you had a separate listing for additional flowers to purchase in case someone wants two or three to change out from time to time?

I really like green (either a nice bright green or a more olive-y green) with black and white.

I LOVE the bag and the fabric - very chic. The black flower does give it a more refined look (gorgeous flower too!) but if I was buying the bag I would probably want to add a POP of color (I usually have bold purses and bags - I compare my current purse to Pikachu from Pokemon). I can see this bag with a brighter color for spring and summer - a great turquoise blue - in just the right shade so it goes well with the print and then for fall and gorgeous deep red. That's my 25 cents!

Gorgeous! I like Amy's suggestion of having an option -- let the buyer choose what color they want. I think a red or turquoise or yellow or really any color would be a nice pop of color, but the black looks great, too.

I like the black, but I would love a hot pink, lime green or bright blue flower!
