Latest stuff

First, I want to say thanks to everyone who supported me last week with the "sale". It was nice to get a couple of totes sold and feel like I have some momentum pushing me forward into the upcoming season. I wanted to share some of my newest "makes". The first is a tote bag for my Aunt. She is a cowgirl down to her toes and wanted me to make her a bag that reflected that. Well, home dec fabric doesn't usually come in "horse" (at least not on the bolt at Joann's) so I had to look at the cotton. I actually found this fabric and thought it just screamed my aunt's name. I was worried about the cotton not having enough body for a tote bag, so I used black canvas and just inserted the cotton on a panel inside two strips of plain canvas. I really like how it turned out. It opens up a whole new set of possibilities for designs on tote bags and it's something I have wanted to try for a while so I'm glad I had a reason to finally sit down and do it.
The next project I completed was a new set of cards. I have had these snaps sitting around for about six months and had thought I would use them as sprinkles on a cupcake. It only took months of thinking and not actually doing for me to get around to it. I actually love them and think they go perfectly with the background paper as well. But I'm all about options so I left words on some and not on all. What do you think- good call or should I put words on all of them?
Anyway, it feels good to be making things and keeping the creative juices flowing. If you are interested in anything on my blog, feel free to leave a comment and I would be happy to get you pricing.

Also included

Thursday, February 18, 2010

Also included in the sale are my scripture totes. The ones in the picture to the left are the larger size. They hold a quad and a small notebook or RS Manual. The ones in the next pic are smaller and hold a quad and not much else. Normally the large ones are $18 and the small ones are $15, but I'm going to do 20% on these too. The large ones will be $14 and the small ones will be $12. Just let me know if you're interested.
Thanks.

More Sale, Sale, Sale!

Monday, February 15, 2010
For some reason blogger wouldn't let me add this one last pic to the previous post, so here in all their glory are my current selection of bags. At the risk of being redundant I'll say again, they are on sale at 20% off and are being offered at $22 (down from the regular $28). This only applies to the bags shown. The price is good until this Saturday, February 20.

Sale!

This is some of my current inventory of bags. I love them and I love how they turned out! But, in order to keep making lovely bags, I have to sell some of them. So for this week only, I am offering them at 20% off my regular price of $28 and will sell them for $22! They are all fully lined and made out of either outdoor canvas, or home decorator weight fabric. If you are interested in purchasing one (or more) of these bags, you can leave a comment (include which bag you want so I don't sell it twice). I would love to find homes for all of them and will be including pics of the rest of my inventory in the following posts.

This is the new table topper I just finished this week. I think it turned out very beautifully.
(don't I have a great model?)

The quilted topper measures 41" square and features a charm pack of Santorini by Lila Tueller for Moda.

This is what the quilting on the back looks like.
You can just see the flower I quilted over the five large colored squares.
I will be making more quilted goodies for sure! What Fun!
